Gottfried Leibniz - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Herr Leibniz was an amazing polymath. Obviously. Let’s just take it as read.
But, tonight, I find myself greatly admiring whomever made the man feel great about buying, donning, and then having his fucking portrait painted while wearing such a totally bananas ‘piece.
He looks like a confused German tourist, easing that wursty and asymmetric mug through the improbably oval hole in a hasty, plywood, 1.2:1 scale, “Hey, everybody, look at me, I’m Gottfried Leibniz!” photo-staging exhibit near whatever represents the German people’s equivalent of Fisherman’s Wharf. Presumably, France, I guess.
Just awful.
And, clearly, not the best of all possible wigs.
So. You know. Mark the frame for Voltaire (Captain, Fisherman’s Wharf).
Any Given Sunday, or what have you.
