But, I love what he pulled off with All Things Must Pass.
Listen to the backing track for this (ultimately rejected, Scott-Walker-esque) take of the insanely great “What is Life.”
You get a feel for what a GIANT sound the man could produce out of what’s essentially a four-chord pop song.
So great.
(And, toward the end, you can also hear at least three pretty heinous clams on Carl Radle’s otherwise world-class bass line)
