The entirety of the Beatles’ LP discography was released over eighty-six months, comprising the approximately seven-year period between March, 1963 (Please Please Me) and May, 1970 (Let it Be). I’ll save you the arithmetic: that’s equivalent to the amount of time between March of 2000 and today. Remember when the NASDAQ hit 5048 (the beginning of the end of the dotcom boom)? Okay, that’s “Twist and Shout.” And today? That’s “The Long and Winding Road.” Seven years. Insane.
