Roderick on the Line - Ep. 25: “Super Train”

Some of my favorite 50-some seconds from our Roderick on the Line program.

In discussing John’s future prospects as the Super-Villain/Super-Genius behind Super Train (~00:17:54):

MDM: It’s nice to have a midget. If you can find one. Right?
JMR: Oh…my God. They’re everywhere.
MDM: I think the midgets are going to come to you.
JMR: The thing is, when you’re a Super-Villain? They do. They come to you.
MDM: I think that’s where you send your résumé.
JMR: But, we say, “little people,” too.
MDM: Okay. Well, I think the little people become droids. I think the midgets…that’s the bad ones. They’re the ones to look out for. They’re the ones that carry, like, vials of poison and blow guns.
JMR: Right! Well…yes.
MDM: Little people…there’s always going to be jobs for droids. You know what I’m saying?
JMR: Yeah, yeah. Or, munchkins.
MDM: Did you know that Kenny Baker and Jack Purvis used to have a cabaret show together?
JMR: Hm.
MDM: The guy who played R2-D2 and the guy who played, like…
JMR: Um. I didn’t know they had a cabaret show. But, then, I…I don’t follow the trades.
MDM: Hm.
