No pressure or anything.

I’m presenting a new talk for the first time on Wednesday. It’s a pretty good presentation on a really good subject and (I’d like to think) I know the actual material inside-out.

But, the thing is, the audience for this talk is…special.1 Very special. In truth, it’s one of the specialist of special audiences, at least as far as my own tastes and whatnot go. Let’s just say I talk about their work a lot.

So, as it happens, this audience will consist not simply of your garden variety visually-gifted people; no, it will be comprised of teams of genius-types who have contributed to some of my favorite things anyone has made in the last 25 years.

So, no pressure there.

Anyhow, since I’ve been feeling a little insecure about the C-minus visual artifacts I’ve so far prepared for this gig, I turned to my all-time favorite book on making and delivering great presentations. No competition; it’s the best.

While I’d remembered that Garr generously included some stuff from Inbox Zero on his site and in his book, I’d totally forgotten he’d sent me a signed copy with this lovely inscription.

So, no pressure there, either.

Nope. Nooooooo pressure.

Not precisely a #humblebrag, guys. More of an #ughpantscrap. Albeit in flattering pants, I guess.

Inspiration is one crazy racket.

So, anyhow. This thing had better be really effing good. In a cup!

Go ahead. Try to guess. You’ll never be able to figure it out. Not in a million years. ↩
