This is a Siracusa-class tour de force—a kind of ersatz “Screenwriter’s Commentary” of The Avengers from a fella who obviously knows a thing or two about how good movie-stories get put together.
Me? I love this movie. But, sure, I can totally respect why some folks don’t. And, if you are one of this film’s numerous and vocal non-fans, I highly doubt that this article will magically reverse your opinion. And, that’s okay.
But, clocking in at over fourteen-thousand (14,000) words, I’d still say this particular epic exegesis of a narrative is well worth a read for any fan of movies, comics, or the surprisingly complex mechanics of telling a story with economy and flair.
