Tumblr has a spam problem. Which means I have a spam problem.

And, right now, I feel like I’m alone in fighting this problem, which drives me crazy.

Tumblr Trick for Mobile Video Posting You know me. Always with the videos. And it drives me nuts that both the Tumblr iPhone and web apps are so adamant about not letting me post an embed-based video from my phone; each limply suggests I email a video to my secret address—but, to my knowledge that ain’t gonna help me with a YouTube or Vimeo post. Although there’s almost certainly a more elegant way to get around this, my hack is to always leave up 2 or 3 desktop-browser-created video posts as “drafts.” They’re empty as posted, but then I can just paste in the embed code (or just the URL in the case of sites like YT), and off I go. And, yeah, please let me know if there’s an easier way. My life is a model of efficacious inelegance.
