  1. Hawkeye #1

Well. Nobody but Clint.

(Jesus H, I could re-read this goddamned comic every week)

Worthy, AFAIC.

  5. Like I say. Big Week.

    Anyhow.

Sometimes, someone you deeply admire is kind enough to do a little thing that provides a whole bunch of unabashed joy.

Guys, I’m not going to even begin to sandbag here:

I was on a goddamned cloud yesterday, and I’m just so grateful for the utter thrill that some lovely people brought to my household.

    People, amirite?

The good ones hold (and wield) an inexplicable power to take a hopelessly tenuous pseudo-connection and make it into a weirdly satisfying high-five.

Lordy, I so love my dumb-ass hobby.

And, I’m endlessly thankful to the talented people who are kind enough to make it such a satisfying part of my dumb-ass life.

    Fuckin’ A, man. Fuckin’ A.

  6. Big Week

Not gonna lie. Little shaky, here. What a gentleman.

I definitely need to lay down.

(No, You are a pathetic nerd! YOU are!)

  7. That’s because it’s a state of mind, Twitter.

State. Of mind.

  8. I’ve only read Hawkeye #11 five or six times since yesterday.

So, I feel utterly unqualified to declare that it’s one of the best single comic issues of the Modern Age as well as an empirically teachable model of economical visual storytelling with a literal heart.

I’m simply not qualified. So, don’t ask me.

Bro.

  9. Sorcerer Supreme Suit

(Isotope comics on Fell St.)

Honestly. I could get a LOT more done if I owned a Dr. Strange costume.

Just, y’know. For what it’s worth.

Keeping it, as they say, real.

  14. X-Men (2004) #205 (Nov. 2007)

Chris Bachalo’s stylistic flourishes were really jarring to me on my first reading of Messiah CompleX.1

But, now, I love everything he does with X titles. Especially WXM. SO great.

Writer: Mike Carey
Penciller: Chris Bachalo
Inker: Tim Townsend
Colorist: Brian Reber
Letterer: Cory Petit
Update 2013-06-21_21-50-03

Shit. Did I confuse Bachalo and Ramos again? God damn it. That’s like confusing Santa and Elvis. I will research and update accordingly.

Shit. It’s hard to be a newbie. We don’t even know what we barely know.

Idiot. I am covered with shame. Also: Black Cat. I am covered with Ramos’s Black Cat. As you do.

Yes. My first reading. Shut up. ↩

  15. Selections from Daredevil: End of Days

Bill Sienkiewicz is a goddamned treasure.

    Criminy.
